What an amazing International Festival this year!

A big thank you to all the OYIS staff, families, vendors, charities and performers – without this incredible support from the community, this event would not have been possible.

Events such as the International Festival help OYIS to showcase how we are growing and supporting student agency and service. This years theme was ‘sustainability’ and with community support, students were able to create games and quizzes from sustainable material and construct their own sustainable prizes.

The parent volunteer group helped to make eco bags for festival goers who brought their own plates to help OYIS cut down on paper and waste.

The festival is an example of how OYIS PYP students were able to connect with their community and display international mindedness, through thinking about how local events can have a global impact.

A fun and exciting day was had by all – a final thank you to our parent volunteers who dedicated so much time and energy to making this event happen.
