On October 15th KB had an exciting field trip to dig for sweet potatoes. A local farmer in Nara kindly grew 30 sweet potato plants so the students would be able to dig their own potatoes. The students were very enthusiastic and some of the potatoes were enormous. KB class were also fascinated by the insects we found in the fields.

Later we made a small hike along the river to go to a nearby park where the students played energetically for the rest of the afternoon.  It was a wonderful experience to be out of the city as well as being an extremely fun day.
