G6 – Human Rights Museum
On May 30th, Grade 6 took a student organised trip to the Osaka Human Rights Museum.
Students chose to visit the museum as part of their “Sharing the Planet” unit of inquiry on equal opportunities and access to resources.
Students were able to watch, read, learn and present on a variety of topics including citizens protesting against illnesses caused by pollution, the struggle of first generation immigrants to Japan and protecting children’s rights. It was an enlightening and rewarding trip.
