On the 30th of April, 2020, OYIS held its first Dance Event. This event was conducted by “All That Jazz”, a dance studio based in Singapore. They had two energetic professional dance instructors, Andi Cowley and Felix Lim.
The dance started with a cool routine of hip hop moves accompanied by Kris Kross, Jump. It was a resounding success with more than 100 participants including parents, students, teachers and office staff for a fun morning!
The dance was a fantastic expose on the future of OYIS and how important it is to the school to develop further and broaden what can be offered.
This is indeed a very fortunate situation that this event is able to connect both countries in these trying times. It is a wonderful opportunity for the OYIS community to come together as one in a dance event.
Below is information from All That Jazz Academy Singapore:

They can sign up for more than one trial as long as it is for a different dance style. Classes for adults are also available at https://allthatjazz.com.sg/adult-online-classes/
– We are offering you 30% off for any of our classes online.
As an indication, an hour of dance lesson will normally be charged at SG$40 + 7% prevailing gst, so with this discount it is only SG$28 !
– The first trial fee will be at $15 only for the session. All the classes available online for trial are currently running.
– Our classes are capped at 14 per session and we have about 10 students per class, so that we can maintain a high standard of interactive classes: The teacher can see all the children on their screen, can interact with them, answer questions, provide guidance throughout the class, spotlight them for short demonstrations, give corrections, etc.
