The Annual OYIS Scholarship Exam & Open House
Scholarship Information Session
Families who are new to the OYIS community are encouraged to stay during the exam to attend an information session by the Principal and Vice-Principal.
Osaka YMCA International School is the only IB continuum school in Osaka City. It offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme.
OYIS is also the only school in Osaka City to be authorized to hold the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). This is used by many universities around the world to decide which applicants receive offers.

OYIS Scholarship Exam
We are proud to announce our annual Scholarship Exams. These will be held on Wednesday November 23 from 10am-12.30pm at our Tosabori campus.
Students who are eligible for Grades 10 or 11 in August 2023 are invited to take the 2022 Scholarship Exam. This exam is the first step to potentially receiving the OYIS Achievement Award.
The OYIS Achievement Award seeks to recognize academic excellence, community engagement, and international mindedness. This is an opportunity for students entering Grade 10 or 11 in 2023 to earn up to a 100% scholarship. The process includes writing a scholarship exam, writing a personal essay, and an interview. Only successful exam takers will advance to the interview stage.

When: Wednesday November 23, 2022 (10am-12.30pm)
Who: Any students (current or new) entering Grades 10 & 11 in August 2023

There is no fee to take the exam.
