Pink Shirt Day 2020/21.
This year for Pink Shirt Day PYP collaborated with Saturday School.
On the 20th of February, Saturday School spent much of the day creating decorations for the Nakatsu campus. These consisted of paper pink chains, hearts, t-shirts etc., all with special messages on them. Saturday School left these for PYP students to hang, pin and decorate the school with. Thank you, Saturday School and thank you to those PYP students who helped decorate our school!
PYP Student Government spent a significant amount of time planning for Pink Shirt Day activities. From a caring game of basketball to bracelet making to finger painting, students spent last Friday (26th of February) working and playing collaboratively to develop attributes and skills such as listening, thinking, sharing, caring and being balanced.

Covid19 has encouraged all our students to become more resilient, more creative and work more collaboratively. Pink Shirt Day certainly exemplified these characteristics as even though students were required to follow Covid19 protocol, they were still able to collaborate, have fun and come together as a whole school community.
