OYIS Education Outside The Classroom (E.O.T.C)

The OYIS EOTC programme aims to encourage students to experience the outdoors in a safe and educational manner.  Out of the classroom learning experiences provide students with a range of contexts to develop the key competencies, explore their values and the values of others, and apply learning across the curriculum.  Spending time outdoors, students are able to experience a wide range of activities that are not possible in a school campus environment. These experiences help foster both independent and collaborative skill sets that serve students well during their academic studies at OYIS.

OYIS aims to embed EOTC experiences throughout all grade levels from regular, dedicated outdoor play time for EC to more challenging multi-day outdoor adventure experiences for junior high school students.
