Literacy Week was better than ever this year, the students were able to enjoy many activities with an emphasis on reading. There was a reading challenge, reading scavenger hunt, book character dress-up, door decorating contest and 6-word stories.
“Stop, Drop and Read!” was announced throughout Literacy Week to prompt silent 10 minute reading time for all students, this was a great way to show the importance of reading.

At the end of Literacy Week, we had a closing assembly with a student costume contest that included a chance to win points for their school team houses. The house trophy was then awarded to the house with the most points.
