Welcome to the Early Childhood (EC) programme where play- and inquiry-based learning are at the heart of the curriculum.
Primary Years covers from grade 1 to grade 6. As children progress through the programme, they become very powerful thinkers, caring classmates, and responsible citizens.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) consists of grades 7-10. The goal of this programme is to provide a holistic educational program that allows students to develop their academic and social skills in an inquiry-based, collaborative environment.
In the Diploma Programme (DP) in grades 11-12, students study six main subjects, and also reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research, and undertake a project that often involves community service.
As a community school, inclusion is integral to OYIS’ mission to empower students to achieve personal success through our collaborative culture and commitment to student-centered education—where students are valued for their strengths and their abilities to grow as lifelong learners.
Service Learning is an experience-based program where students conduct a service activity in a community that combines their passion, has connections to the academic curriculum, and above all, addresses real needs in the community.
OYIS Saturday Classes have been designed to fulfill the student’s weekly need for more academic educational needs. Our fully immersive English environment with the Saturday Classes is designed to develop the children’s literacy skills.
The OYIS Intensive Program has a cross-disciplinary focused approach. There are three intensives a year (Spring, Summer, and Winter) and they are stand-alone week-long programs of fun with theme-based curriculum to engage the children collaboratively with their peers.
